public class Launcher
extends java.lang.Object

Class to launch an Artisynth application. We use a launcher so that we can set-up our own class loader that references all the needed .jar files, as well as external class path entries (such as from other projects) as described in the file <USER_HOME>/ArtiSynthConfig/EXTCLASSPATH.

verifyLibraries

public static int verifyLibraries(boolean update)

Verifies or updates jar files and some native libraries, based on the contents of the file $ARTISYNTH_HOME/lib/LIBRARIES.

Parameters:

update - if true, verifies that the libraries are up to date

Returns:

number of libraries actually downloaded, or -1 if an error was encountered
