Progress to Date

Some work has been done towards the goals mentioned in the outline. These materials are located in the ReferenceMaterialsSummer08 folder, on the desktop of the machine "Brahms 7 Super". The path is:

 BrahmsOSX:/Eric/ReferenceMaterialsSummer08/

which can be accessed through the local network of DIVA machines, if the DIVA user's password is known. Of these materials only Training can be considered complete. The Accents folder and the Python scripts have been modified to some extent towards the new goals, but since the extent of these changes is not well known, it may be better to discard these and start again from the existing system.

At present, the training interface has been extended to accomodate both a phoneme & vizeme mode. Rather than duplicating the interface altogether, the window has a [ Phoneme | Vizeme ] tab which toggles modes, switching between the phoneme dictionary and a menu of existing vizeme dictionaries. An extended filestructure splits phoneme & vizeme training sessions into separate folders, and further splits vizeme sessions into separate folders for each dictionary. Aside from these differences, each mode runs much as it did before -- the user chooses a phoneme ( or expression ) and records gestures, saving these in session files.
