Aug 18, 2008 DIVA meeting

Present: Sid Fels, Eric Foxhall, Kozaburo Hachimura, Martin Oberg, Bob Pritchard, Ying Yin

Sid would like to have “Version 1.0” locked down by the end of the month. This will include
documentation/user manual and a stand alone version that we can place on various \\machines in the MAGIC lab and in Eric’s lab.

Reports from:

	Eric: facial vizeme creator is nearly done. Bug in the socket connection that results in it 
dropping after 40 seconds when launched from DIVA, but command line start has no 
problems running.
	Ying: has been working on a plane calibration module. Nearly complete

We are considering mounting the footpedal switch in a left shoe for Marguerite. We need a
large platform shoe for this. Bob will contact Helene and Marguerite regarding this.

Discussion of the possibility of writing a USB driver so we can run the Patriot through that,
rather than through the USB/serial interface. We might need a firmware for the Patriot to
do that with Apples.

Immersion Technologies finally returned the glove that is being repaired. Ying indicated
that it may be responding slightly differently than the other glove. We need to check that.
The calibration routines may take care of that.

Bob will meet with Ying and Eric to go over what they can achieve in the last two
weeks of work.

Ko has set the Japan symposium to be January 24 (Saturday). Sid, Bob and Marguerite
need to check and confirm travel times, etc.
