OPAL Activities

Our plan for our OPAL research is to develop a generic reference model of the OPAL complex anatomy and make it available to the research and medical communities through an open-source software platform, providing a tool that can be extended or modified to suit different applications. In anticipation of clinical applications, we consider how to register this reference model to fit specific patients. We also want fast simulation times, so that our model can be used as interactively as possible. Finally, the model will be used in physiological research and targeted toward clinical applications.
