A Cervical Spine Impact ModelThomas Holzinger, Benedikt Sagl (Medical University of Vienna) and Dario Cazzola (University of Bath). This is a head and neck model, focused on the cervical spine, whose purpose is to study impact scenarios from activities such as rugby. The model was created from an OpenSim model in which the intervertebral discs had originally been modeled as bushings (6 DOF spring), and then replaced using finite element models to better simulate stress/strain relationships. |
